Pfizer Animal Health’s Diversity Council Recognized Among Top 25 in the U.S.

Association of Diversity Councils Identifies Pfizer Animal Health as Leader in Diversity, Inclusion

MADISON, N.J. (October 8, 2012) — For the third consecutive year, Pfizer Animal Health’s Diversity Council was listed among the top 25 diversity councils in the country. The Association of Diversity Councils, a practice group of PRISM International, Inc., honored Pfizer Animal Health and the other recipients at an awards ceremony during the 2012 Diversity Council Conference in Washington D.C. on October 4.

The Diversity Council Honors Award™ is a prestigious accolade for the outstanding contributions and accomplishments of council groups that lead diversity processes and demonstrate results in their workforce, workplace and marketplace.

“Diversity and inclusion are key business and colleague imperatives of Pfizer, so we are thrilled to be recognized again by the Association of Diversity Councils,” said Clint Lewis, president of U.S. operations for Pfizer Animal Health. “We place a high value on demonstrating inclusive behaviors and respecting individuals' backgrounds and perspectives in everything we do.”

To qualify for the Diversity Council Honors Award™, participating council groups must have been in operation for at least two years and have demonstrated contributions and achievements in four categories: Demonstrated Council Results; Demonstrated Management Commitment; Measurement and Accountability; Communication and Education.

Building on previously recognized practices, Pfizer Animal Health’s Diversity and Inclusion Council created the Pfizer Animal Health Customer Diversity Award, to recognize and honor deserving customers, who demonstrate exceptional levels of inclusive behavior and respect for diversity within their organization.  The council also helped to develop a diversity and inclusion intern program, and worked closely with Pfizer Inc. Global Supply to optimize the use of diversity suppliers within Pfizer Animal Health.
