Minnesota cattle producer wins $5,000 Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment voucher
FLORHAM PARK, N.J., June 8, 2016 — Following the NCBA Trade Show held in San Diego, Zoetis proudly announced the winner of its “Chuteside With Zoetis” on-site contest. Char Feikema from Luverne, Minnesota was awarded a voucher valued at $5,000 to be used toward any Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment purchase. This activity not only engaged hundreds of event attendees, but also supported the commitment from Zoetis to continuing chute-side education and helping equip producers with the knowledge required to manage a successful cattle operation.
“Our chuteside model created a real-life atmosphere for NCBA attendees and helped to highlight the importance of accurate administration methods and appropriate product use,” said Leona Ferguson, beef cattle marketing manager at Zoetis. “Seeing how interested beef producers were in using products accurately and efficiently for the well-being of their animals is reflective of our industry’s commitment to quality, and we’re proud to have offered this learning in a fun, engaging way.”
Through a partnership with Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment, Zoetis executed a full-size working cattle chute inside the company’s NCBA booth, where Zoetis colleagues performed chute-side demonstrations in four key hands-on learning stations. These stations included implanting, intranasal vaccinations, base-of-ear administration and genomics. By participating in at least two stations each day, attendees earned daily entries into a $5,000 Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment voucher drawing. Following the convention, all booth participants also received an email survey to complete for an additional entry into the drawing.
"It was a perfect fit for Tarter to collaborate with Zoetis during the NCBA Trade Show,” said Ann Tarter, executive vice president of Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment. “Both companies strive to create safe environments for livestock on farms and ranches throughout this great country.”
The NCBA Trade Show is the largest national show and important for anyone in the cattle business. The NCBA Trade Show allows industry members the opportunity to come face-to-face with decision makers and industry partners, like Zoetis, in a unique, fun environment.
