WITNESS® LH is a convenient, easy-to-use, in-clinic test that is designed to pinpoint the optimum time for canine feline by identifying the day of the luteinizing hormone (LH) surge. WITNESS LH can also be used to determine if a queen or bitch is intact.

  • Sample information:

    Collect the blood sample in a plain (red top) vacutainer or serum separator tube. Allow the blood to clot, and separate the serum by centrifugation.

    Instructions for use:

    1. Open the foil pouch and place the test kit on a flat horizontal surface for the duration of the test.
    2. Using the supplied pipette,* transfer 3 drops of sample onto the sample well (window 1), and wait for the sample to be completely absorbed.
    3. Wait 20 minutes for sample to migrate across the test kit to windows 2 and 3.
    4. Read test results. When the control line appears in window 3, the test was performed correctly.

    *It is important to use the pipette provided to ensure enough sample is dropped into the well for accurate results.


    WITNESS LH Sell Sheet

    • Do not use components after expiration date.
    • Refrigeration not required. Store the test kit at 2˚ to 25˚C (35˚ to 77˚F). Do not subject to extreme temperatures.
    • Do not open the foil pouch until ready to perform the test.
    • Avoid touching or damaging membrane at windows 1, 2 or 3.
    • Keep the device flat during testing. Do not disturb the device while the test is being conducted.
    • Reading results before or after the 20-minute test interval will invalidate results.
